ABOUT
STACEY
Stacey is a licensed counsellor from Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (KB09711 / PA09337). She holds a Master of Professional Counselling degree from Monash University Malaysia and has experience in over 600 hours of counselling, in addition to conducting various mental health awareness activities.
Throughout her professional counselling experience, and during her practicum and internship in Sarawak General Hospital, she has provided counselling sessions, prepared detailed case notes and treatment plans to clients and patients with issues ranging from family/ marriage/ relationship issues, depression/anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal attempts, substance abuse, career/studies related stress, among others.
She has conducted online and face-to-face counselling for clients of diverse backgrounds in various languages, English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin Chinese as well as Hakka dialect. Stacey primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) modal in her therapy sessions, that aligns with her therapeutic goals to help clients to develop independence.
In addition, she has conducted an invited talk on Mental Health Awareness in Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus to staff members and students in 2019. Moreover, she is also a volunteer in Mind Brew Kuching to facilitate periodical mental health and wellbeing workshops.
