ABOUT

MEI SAN

Mei San is a clinical psychologist and registered & licensed counsellor with over 10 years of clinical experience. She is professionally trained in providing comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, offering diagnoses for a spectrum of mental disorders. She had previously worked with individuals with developmental disorders (i.e., autism, ADHD, intellectual difficulty, learning difficulties), mood disorders (i.e., depression, anxiety, and stress), and personality disorders.

She has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including university students, working adults, and individuals with behavioural and emotional challenges, as well as minority groups of LGBTQ+. She provides individual and couple counselling, grief and bereavement counselling, and interventions for hospital inpatients and outpatients. As a trauma-informed clinician, she provides therapy for individuals with different issues such as depression, anxiety, anger, grief, self-esteem, interpersonal relationship conflicts, and life transition difficulties.

As a trauma-informed clinician, she is committed to empowering clients to achieve their greatest potential in life through collaborative therapeutic work. Understanding and helping clients holistically have always been her vision as a helping professional. Her choice of psychological approach hinges on the appropriateness of her clients' conditions, with a primary focus on employing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy alongside a Person-Centred approach during sessions.
Besides that, she also facilitates psycho-educational workshops and talks for the general public and private companies. She is fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Embark on the transformative journey of therapy with me. Let’s work together to navigate challenges and promote healing. Therapy is a journey of growth, healing and empowerment. As the saying goes “We don’t meet people by accident, they are meant to cross our path for a reason.” Walking alongside you as you embark on this journey would be an honour.
